Curriculum Leader of Design Technology job summary

Salary: MPS/UPS plus TLR2b (£30,000 - £46,525 per annum, plus TLR2b payment of £4,968 per annum)


Required for Easter 2024 or September 2024. Part time and flexible working will be considered.

What does this role involve?

As a Curriculum Leader, you will discover, nurture, and develop the next generation of designers, makers, and menders. In front of you is a blank canvas, a design suite, an enthusiastic team, and our fantastic students who bring a wealth of talent, a positive attitude to learning and a determination to improve.


This is an opportunity to join one of the highest performing, true community, cross phase Multi-Academy Trust’s in the region. You will be integral to driving the Design Technology department forward and delivering on our vision of providing a first-class education to all students, so that they make outstanding progress and get the chances in life they deserve.


Some of your key duties will include:


  • Strategically growing uptake in Design Technology and related disciplines at Key Stage 4, as a result of captivating classes in Key Stage 3.
  • Delivering outstanding outcomes for our Year 11 students.
  • Providing strategic leadership across the area in accordance with the aims and objectives of the school.
  • Accountability for pupil attainment and staff performance within the area.
