Curriculum Leader of Drama (Maternity Cover) job summary

Shoreham Academy is looking for an outstanding Curriculum Leader of Drama (Maternity Cover) to join our very successful Arts Faculty in April 2023 to teach KS3 and KS4 Drama.

Reporting to the Director of Performing Arts, the successful applicant will deliver the KS3 Drama syllabus, which is taught in years 7, 8 and 9 and GCSE Drama, which is taught in years 10 and 11. We follow the Edexcel exam board at GCSE level and there is currently one teaching group in both year 10 and year 11.

The Drama Department benefits from two studio spaces as part of the main hall area, together with a green room facility.

Shoreham Academy has a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality productions. We are seeking to appoint an excellent and ambitious teacher with drive, commitment and passion to prepare students for / direct next year`s production. The successful applicant will also lead and develop the popular after-school drama club.
