We are looking to appoint an experienced teacher of Modern
Foreign Languages who is looking for a new challenge and is willing to join an
innovative and forward-thinking department. The ideal candidate must have a
real passion for their subject and be equipped with the skills to maximise
outcomes for students at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Modern Foreign
Languages is currently taught three times as fortnight at Kingsway Park High
School at Key Stage 3 and by Year 9 offers French and Spanish alongside the
option for students to be examined in their home languages. Languages are
becoming increasingly popular with our students, and we are looking for someone
with the drive and passion to continue to increase the subject popularity
through the mapping, sequencing and execution of a new KS3 curriculum model.
This is an exciting time to remap the MFL curriculum and to further align the
subject curriculum intent with the school’s new mission statement- ‘We
Cooperate, We Pioneer, We Belong.’ The new Curriculum leader will also take
responsibility for promoting MFL whole school through whole school assemblies,
year group activities and possible drop-down days.
The MFL department at Kingsway Park High School is a
supportive department that is well resourced with 4 IT suites. There is a work area for staff within the
department which allows the team to work cohesively to support and link French
and Spanish into the curriculum offer. The new Curriculum Leader of MFL will be
supported by an established member of SLT and will work alongside experienced
and motivated staff. Finally, this is a

pioneering to really help the MFL department excel.
Kingsway Park High School was
established in 2010 and joined the Altus Education Partnership in February
2022. We are now a very popular oversubscribed school (1350 students in years
