Curriculum Leader of Physical Education / Teacher of PE job summary

We are seeking to appoint a Curriculum Leader of Physical Education

This position is full time and permanent, commencing January 2022.

We are looking for a highly effective teacher and inspirational leader to develop and support Physical Education in the academy, who embraces creativity and is passionate about teaching engaging PE lessons to enable our students to succeed.

The successful candidate will be a highly committed and energetic practitioner who is able to make a full contribution to further raising standards of achievement and to the wider life of the academy.

The Curriculum Leader will be accountable for and provide professional leadership and management for the PE Department in order to secure high-quality teaching and learning, effective use of resources, and monitoring and tracking information to improve standards/achievements for all students. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach PE at all levels, including KS5, and have experience of facilitating extra-curricular activities and sporting events.

As part of the team, the successful candidate will be expected to meet the basic teacher standards at all times to provide an exciting and inspiring learning experience for our young people. In addition, they should be keen to engage in the wider life of our community school.
