Curriculum/Subject Leader and Y6 Teacher job summary
Would you like to progress your career in a school which believes that all children have the right to develop their talents through the highest quality of education?
Parkside Primary Academy is looking to recruit a Y6 teacher and Curriculum/Subject Leader, who will take on Senior Leadership responsibilities at Parkside with additional opportunities to work across the Trust. As a leader, you will work in partnership with the Leadership Team to be an inspirational and innovative teacher of Y6 and also lead a curriculum/subject area. You will also work with other leaders across our Trust and neighbouring cluster schools, allowing you to demonstrate impact at both classroom and leadership level, in more than one school.
We know that to give our children an excellent educational experience, we need to support and develop high quality teachers and leaders. We do this internally through a continuous professional development and coaching programme. In addition to this, we collaborate with organisations like Ambition Institute, Teach First, Delta (Teaching School Hub) and Tykes Teaching School Alliance, to offer external opportunities alongside nationally accredited qualifications. As well as this, you will have the opportunity to be developed by our Head who is a Specialist Leader of Education, with particular expertise in staff development.
Successful Applicants will:
• Be ambitious, innovative and inspirational individuals who have the potential to be outstanding leaders.
• Be a current Middle Leader or an outstanding upper Key Stage 2 teacher looking to progress to the next level.
• Have an excellent understanding of the rigors of Key Stage 2 and be able to ensure and assure the quality of the curriculum as a subject leader.
• Maintain the Academy’s high expectations of progress and attainment.
• Be passionate about enabling children to achieve their potential.
• Have a good understanding of how assessment and data can improve the progression of children.
