What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated professional with an interest in supporting and educating children. This role will suit a wide range of people including those who wish to get into teaching or those who have experience of an educational setting.
Key aspects of the role would be to:
- To supervise and support students through covering lessons or learning activities during the short term absence of their teacher
- To assist students in the completion of work set and facilitate peer assessment and correction of the work under the direction of a Curriculum Leader
- To support with ad hoc administrative work in a designated Curriculum area
Candidates will need to demonstrate the following:
- Experience of working with or relating to young people and have a commitment to their education, development, welfare and aspirations with particular focus on language for learning.
- Ability to successfully deliver pre planned lessons as directed by the classroom teacher/Curriculum Leader
- Ability to respond to changing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Good interpersonal, communication and administration skills.
