What skills and experience we're looking for
Dudley Academies Trust is looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Curriculum Team Leader for Science at Beacon Hill Academy.
The CTL for Science will ensure that the highest of standards are
established and sustained so that all groups of learners can make good and
outstanding progress.
What the school offers its staff
Beacon Hill Academy is an inspirational academy which instils ambition and desire in learners, with values of dreaming big, rewarding effort, leading together, respecting each other and learning that inspires running through all aspects of school life. The academy is well led with high expectations for all (Ofsted 2021).
Dudley Academies Trust was formed in September 2017 under the sponsorship of Dudley College of Technology. Our Trust schools are St James Academy, The Link Academy, Pegasus Academy, Beacon Hill Academy, Blowers Green and Kate’s Hill Primary. The Trust when combined with the sponsor, annually supports 8,500 young people aged 4 to 19 years old and employs almost 1,300 staff.
You will be joining the Trust at an exciting time as we are continuing our journey to provide a first-class education for the young people of Dudley, with outstanding teaching and learning being the Trust’s foremost priority.
As the Curriculum Team Leader for Science, you will enjoy many benefits. You will be supported by the central team which includes two Directors and a team of coaches who will work with you to provide first class coaching and mentoring for your teachers.
Our Values Driven Expectations behaviour management model ensures that all learners are well focussed and that there is no low level disruption in lessons; this allows you to concentrate on leading high quality teaching to inspire your learners. Cutting edge data management processes also mean that key data is provided from the centre for you, freeing up your time to act on key information to accelerate learners’ progress.
As a high profile leader of Science, you will be fully supported to focus on your core business.
The Trust recognises that our staff are our most valuable asset and investing in our people is a key strategic priority for the Trust.
