CURRICULUM TECHNICIAN - Design Technology job summary
The Curriculum Technician based in our Design and Technology department has a key role within the team. The postholder will be expected to offer a high level of practical skills to support the Curriculum Leader and the wider school. A flexible approach to meet the ever changing demands of the curriculum is very important, as are excellent timekeeping and attendance. You will work across the whole department to offer support if required, it is essential that you are a team player.

The appointment will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance (including a check on the children’s barred list for those working in regulated activity) for the successful applicant. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Curriculum Technician to work within our Design and Technology Department to join our committed non-teaching support provision. You will provide a high level of technical support to the department, in particular working with the Curriculum Leader for Technology. Our Design Technology offers a wide range of opportunities for students to access an innovative curriculum, with purposeful, contextual learning with high expectations for students forming a major part of our passion for learning.
As a member of the support team, you will focus on supporting the department to ensure that practical lessons are delivered effectively, so that every student can develop their practical skills and gain knowledge and understanding within an exciting and passionate unit.
Our support provision across the school has an excellent team spirit where collaboration, cooperation and
the sharing of best practice are key, as is hard work within a supportive team. Learning is at the heart of all
we do and our support teams aim to provide students with outstanding opportunities.
We are looking for a Curriculum for our Design and Technology department, who is enthusiastic about
their ability to inspire the children to be passionate about their learning.
