Contract: Permanent, full time (37 hours) and term time plus 4 weeks

39 weeks plus 4 Weeks (2 weeks during the Exams results week and an additional 2 week over the term).

Monday to Thursday – 8am to 4pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Friday – 8am to 3.30pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Job Overview

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Data Manager to administer all aspects of the Academy's Assessment, Recording, Reporting and student tracking systems in a way that meets the aims and objectives of the Academy. To provide a high-quality data collection, processing and reporting system that adapts to and underpins the academy's agenda for change and raising attainment. Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Academy’s information management system, ensuring all data and assessment information is up to date across the academy.   

The right candidate will: 

  • Be responsible for managing the data required by the school for external and internal use. 
  • Be able to support student’s learning through the review, production and analysis of assessment data, in conjunction with the Exams Officer.
  • Be able to provide pupil/assessment and progress reports on a regular basis. 
  • Provide statutory data for the trust and external bodies including the DFE and LA, ensuring it is accurate and submitted on time. 
  • Be responsible for the Pupil Student Census. 
  • Maintain school MIS modules to ensure accurate information, relating to personal, academic and other relevant aspects, is held on each student. 
  • Guide the Data Assistant so that they can produce tracking Marksheets, report templates and other tools, to enable the collection and publication of assessment data. 
  • Have sole responsibility for the Analysis of the statutory statistical government returns such as the DfE Table Checking Exercise.
