Data Manager

We are extremely excited to be recruiting for a new Data Manager to join our fantastic support staff team.

The primary purpose of this role is to to manage all aspects of Student Data and also to analyse and report on Student Data to contribute to the whole school objective of ensuring the best outcomes for our students. At Havant Academy we have an incredible team of staff who all put the students at the heart of everything they do.

1. To continuously develop the Academy’s Data and Management Information Systems to offer high levels of automation for routine tasks and effective student tracking solutions to monitor progress;

2. To be responsible to maintain, collate, create and report on all Academy data including but not limited to student performance, behaviour, target setting etc.

3. Amend / alter the curriculum plan and update timetable where necessary;

4. To provide accurate and informative assessment data for all staff and to prepare presentations and reports for the Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body, as and when appropriate;

5. To ensure that data is collected efficiently from staff and embed systems to track effectiveness and timelines of staff returns;

6. Ensure that SIMS products are maintained and up to date;

7. Ensure that all SIMS data is relevant and up to date;

8. To be responsible for the effective deployment of the assessment management module, including the setup of data fields/aspects, template, profiles and data record sheets for staff to enter data;

9. Develop and maintain data collection check points that are easily accessible and user-friendly, for staff and students;

10. To complete school student census returns as required;

11. To line manage Attendance and complete ‘management level’ tasks including analysis of data, issuing statutory letters/fines etc.

12. To design, prepare and present reports and statistical analysis for internal comparisons and external returns;

13. Train new users and act as point of contact for day to day SIMS queries;

14. Carry out year-end procedures within the Academy’s SIMS;

15. To complete all Academy returns such as but not limited to Raise Online, the census and TKAT Insight/ASA requests.

16. To utilise other analytical software's such as 4matrix to provide the Senior Leadership Team and Governing body with reports and school performance data.

17. To produce reports for parents about their child's progress/performance/behaviour as required
