Data Officer job summary

The North School have an opportunity to appoint a dedicated, experienced Data Officer with responsibility for the management of student data, assessment information & supporting with data & timetable inputting.

The role is an extremely valued position within the school & one that plays a pivotal part in the success of our students.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Gather & analyse school data, providing reports for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Governors.
  • Using Bromcom to set up student target grades.
  • Oversee the completion of statutory returns, e.g. the School Census, for the County Council & Government.
  • Provide advice & training to staff on the use of Bromcom & the interpretation & use of data.
  • Oversee the inputting & scheduling of timetables in Bromcom in partnership with the SLT.
  • Set up and update Bromcom Assessment Manager, including overseeing the production of class mark sheets & student reports.
  • Upload & monitor reporting data on the school’s chosen package, e.g. SISRA.

The successful candidate would have:

  • Excellent skills & experience using Excel, Microsoft Office packages & Bromcom or other school based systems.
  • Experience working within a similar role, especially within a school environment.
  • Experience of data management.
  • Ability to build & maintain excellent professional relationships with colleagues.
  • Experience in the use of software to support data management functions.
  • Experience of planning & prioritising your own workload & competing demands.
