What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful applicant will have:

  • a mandatory Teacher of the Deaf Qualification

  • sound knowledge and understanding of audiology

  • minimum Level 1 signing qualification

  • experience of teaching and supporting deaf and hearing impaired pupils in mainstream schools or in an alternative provision educational setting

  • a commitment to collaborative working and liaising with mainstream teachers, parents/carers and other professionals, agencies and services as appropriate;

  • have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and

  • promote effective, inclusive education for deaf children.
