What skills and experience we're looking for

-Relevant educational qualifications at school/college

-Relevant professional catering qualification (NVQ Diploma/BTEC qualification/HND/Advanced apprenticeship)

-Level 2 Food Hygiene

-Ability to competently use Microsoft Office Packages to include work and excel

-Ability to easily assimilate information and create reports.

-Experience in cooking and food preparation in a high volume environment

-Experience of maintain accurate files and records and ensuring compliance with legislation

- Experience in working in a secondary school

-Understanding Child protection/safeguarding

-Experience in leading training to groups of people

-Experience of creating fully costed menus

Bournside is the largest comprehensive 11-18 school in Gloucestershire. We are an established single academy trust with a good reputation (Ofsted ‘Good’ rating 2022), wide catchment, and a strong presence in the community. Our school is consistently oversubscribed with a PAN of 300, and most of our students choose to stay with us for their
post-16 study.

Bournside is a mixed, non-denominational academy school for students aged 11 to 18. It is located in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. It settled in its current location of Warden Hill in the early part of the 1970s and converted to academy status in 2011.
