Deputy Curriculum Leader - Modern Foreign Languages job summary
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and well-qualified colleague to join our Leading Edge school.
We have a history of excellence and are a high-performing school. Our Progress 8 measure is significantly above that for boys nationally and they also buck the national gender trends for success in modern languages. Our progress measures at GCSE (compared to boys and girls) is significantly above national data in every measure. Students also continue their studies at A Level, where girls join our Sixth Form.
The department is situated in a pleasant suite of well-appointed rooms with excellent facilities. French and Spanish are offered at KS3, 4 and 5.
We wish to appoint a colleague who has the desire to work in a supportive and invigorating environment in which staff are passionate about delivering a creative and engaging curriculum. You will be joining an already outstanding team of practitioners and can be safe in the knowledge that your subject is highly valued and supported. Our preference would be for the successful candidate to be a Spanish specialist.
Across the school, students benefit from our insistence on: high standards and achievement, an exceptional range of extra-curricular activities and the focus on traditional values. The school is in a period of growth and many new developments have taken place to provide the very best learning environment for our students.
We are an over-subscribed and popular boys’ school with a mixed Sixth Form. We are situated in a tree-lined neighbourhood of the London Borough of Hounslow, a vibrant area of West London. We are close to Osterley Park, a short hop from central London by tube or rail, and have easy access to the M3, M4 and Heathrow Airport.
