Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Family Support Worker job summary

Sidestrand Hall School is looking to appoint a highly motivated and dedicated Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Family Support Officer who will work closely with our senior leadership team to support families and students to engage effectively with the school.

The right candidate will relish the challenge of working with a variety of people to ultimately support our students in attending school and thriving in their learning. The post requires an empathetic and practical person who can understand the needs of families and students, and can then plan effective and personalised support for them. You will be a highly effective team player, an excellent communicator who will champion the causes of young people and their families.

This is a unique role will involves looking after the needs of our most vulnerable children within the school. The successful applicant will preferably have experience of working in schools within a pastoral role and DSL training, however this will be provided to the right candidate.
