Deputy Head job summary

We are seeking a motivated, dynamic and innovative individual to join our productive team at Manor Green Primary. As Deputy Head teacher, you will support our Head teacher, senior team and Governing Body in delivering the vision and strategic aims.

Applicants must hold QTS and have completed the NPQSL leadership course.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced senior leader, keen to innovate, and with a proven track record in improving outcomes and inspiring learning in an SEN setting.

Your work will be challenging but rewarding, we are looking for an outstanding teacher who can motivate, challenge, unlock potential and empower staff at all levels.

You will be knowledgeable about SEN practice, legislative frameworks, adapted curricula, contextual safeguarding and pastoral care and well-being.

The child's care and learning is at the heart of everything we do. As Deputy headteacher you will have a pivotal role leading and exemplifying our vision. You will ensure that teaching and learning is outstanding, and that the school operates as a creative and inclusive community.

The successful candidate will be passionate about inclusion and improving outcomes for students with special educational needs and share our commitment to ensuring that all our young people are fully prepared and supported for life beyond the Primary setting.

The interview team will be pleased to discuss the whole school responsibilities of the role during the interview process and care will be taken to reflect the experience and skill set of the successful candidate. There must however be a willingness to be a school lead for safeguarding and appraisal and CPD. Within this role there will be a small teaching commitment so outstanding practice can be modelled to other teachers.
