Deputy Head, Outstanding SEN Secondary job summary

The Deputy Head is expected to be familiar with the National Professional Standards for Head Teachers, Teachers and Support Staff and carry out the professional duties of a school leader as circumstances may require, and in accordance with the school’s policies under the Executive Head Teacher and Head of School.

To work with the Executive Head Teacher, governing body and others to develop the school’s vision, establish and maintain a culture and ethos that promotes effective collaboration, excellence, equality and high expectations of all pupils and staff.

To have responsibility with the Head of School for the discipline, behaviour and welfare of all pupils.

In this role you will also be responsible as one of the School Designated Child Protection Officers for vulnerable children and for Looked After Children.
