Deputy Head Teacher job summary
The Governors, Pupils and Staff of Fair Furlong are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher who can bring a record of excellent leadership to our outstanding school. This position has arisen due to the promotion of our very experienced current deputy to the Headship of our school. We would like to appoint someone who would be committed to and who would embrace being part of the community in which our school sits.
We would welcome applications from someone who
• Is an outstanding classroom practitioner and has a proven track record of raising standards of achievement and improving staff performance
• Has excellent communication skills and experience of working within their local community and beyond
• Who is a strong team player but is also able to work independently to problem solve and seek creative solutions

At Fair Furlong Primary School we ensure every child thrives, that they reach for success from the very first day they join us and throughout their school lives. Fair Furlong is a two form entry school for children from Nursery to Year 6 serving the Withywood and Hartcliffe areas of Bristol. We currently have 460 pupils on role and our intake is fully sub-scribed.
