Deputy Head Teacher job summary
Deputy Headteacher Responsible for: Curriculum and Teaching and Learning Required from September 2022, or sooner if possible Salary: Leadership Scale 8-12
The role of Deputy Head is integral to the leadership and management of the school. They will support the head in delivering the vision for the school and uphold its strong Christian values.
The role is non-classed based and will be focused on the day-to-day management of the school as well as the critical role of developing the curriculum and teaching and learning. The role will be varied and will include elements of teaching as directed by the headteacher. The role requires someone to be up to date with evidence-based practice of both how children and staff learn and develop to get the best out of them. It will focus heavily on developing staff through instructional coaching in a supportive manner.

· Is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, assisting in the strategic management and day to day management of the school.

· A passion for evidence-based practice especially around curriculum design and implementation.
· Can build excellent relationships with staff to coach and develop them.
· Is keen to deputise when the Headteacher is not there.
· Has excellent time management skills, a healthy work-life balance and a role model for both staff and children.
