What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher to help continue to develop and enhance the education of the pupils in our school. They will be ready to work closely with our staff and families as well as outside agencies to seek advice and help ensure our pupils get the very best start in life.

What the school offers its staff

If you see learning as a fun yet challenging experience, our school offers:

• a strong commitment to further professional development for all staff

• a committed, fun and enthusiastic staff

• a building that provides a high-quality teaching and learning environment surrounded by attractive, educational grounds

• friendly, hard-working and well-behaved children

• supportive parents, governors and links with the community

• future career opportunities

Further details about the role

The role is non-class based and incorporates oversight of SEND provision in the school as well as the expectation to ensure good provision in all areas of learning and development for all of our pupils. The previous Deputy Headteacher has successfully moved on to a Headteacher role and the current SENDCo is retiring in the summer. We see this new collaboration of the roles as an exciting opportunity for someone to establish wide ranging leadership experience in preparation for their own future development and progression

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and the successful candidate will undergo an enhanced DBS check.
