Due to the promotion of our current deputy head teacher, a fabulous opportunity has arisen to join our happy, welcoming, creative, innovative, successful and dynamic school.

We are looking for an excellent class teacher with proven leadership experience who has the knowledge and expertise to work with the Head teacher and the rest of the leadership team and teaching faculty to lead on school improvement and deliver in areas of leadership responsibility (e.g. Safeguarding, Assessment, Standards, SEND, Curriculum Development, Pastoral, Health and Safety, Community Engagement, Partnerships) in order to secure high quality teaching and learning, excellence and enjoyment for all our pupils.

The successful candidate will be a highly committed leader and team player, and have a clear knowledge and understanding of research and the pedagogic strategies to motivate and inspire students, as well as the methodologies and actions for continuous whole school improvement.

We are looking for someone who:

Can fully align with the school’s vision, values, ethos and curriculum narrative and support the head teacher in the school’s ongoing journey of school improvement

Has an eye for detail, is a good strategic and operational planner who is able to implement, monitor, evaluate and review plans and hold others to account with courtesy and professional regard to secure high standards and positive outcomes .

Has experience of kind, effective, thoughtful line-management and experience of coaching and mentoring.

Is committed to securing high standards in their own work, children’s learning and the work of the school as a whole.

Has proven experience in a number of key leadership areas and can evidence impact.

Can bring ideas, innovation, creativity to the role as well as rigour, discipline and accountability.

Is an excellent, experienced classroom practitioner with exemplary class room and whole school behaviour management strategies.

Is kind, caring and inclusive, is able to see the best in children and is skilled in making adaptions so that all children succeed.

Is positive, solution-focused, enthusiastic and adaptable.

Works well as part of a crew with other colleagues, children and parents, and the wider school community.

Is proactive and dedicated, is well-organised and efficient, and able to meet professional standards including deadlines and school, grounds and classroom organisation.
