Deputy Head job summary
Watling Lower School is a close-knit and inclusive school, dedicated to helping every child reach their full potential. We are seeking an inspirational, forward-thinking and passionate deputy head to take an active role in continuing the development of the school.
You will be an excellent teacher delivering consistently high-quality lessons and a commitment to learning that you will want to share with children and staff. You will be joining our friendly, dedicated and hard-working staff and have the pleasure of working with our happy, confident and enthusiastic children.
You will also be a senior or middle leader with a proven track record of school improvement. You will have implemented whole school initiatives: leading on the professional development of staff and monitoring the outcomes to critically evaluate effectiveness. You are now looking to take a more senior role within our school with ambitions to move into a headship in the future.
The role will constitute three days of teaching in our Year 1 class and two days in your leadership role. The leadership responsibilities will be tailored to the experience and passion of the successful applicant but you will take the lead in monitoring curriculum standards across the school and take on the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead role.
