What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors of All Saints Catholic High School, Kirkby are seeking to appoint an inspirational, ambitious and innovative Deputy Headteacher to work alongside the current Headteacher and Head of School (to be appointed).
All Saints is a popular and significantly oversubscribed 11 to 18 school in the town of Kirkby and within the borough of Knowsley. Our new Deputy Headteacher will work with the existing Headteacher, Governing Body, Archdiocese and Local Authority to shape the direction of the school, building on its recent successful history. The Deputy Headteacher will lead a committed and dedicated staff living out the mission of the school - Love and Justice.
In November of 2021, OFSTED judged the school as being Good in all areas.
As a Catholic school we will appoint an experienced leader who will champion the community that we serve. Ensuring that our pupils receive the best possible education in a caring and loving environment.

Has a strong record of successful school improvement at Senior Leadership
Has the ability to lead the school so that all pupils maximise their potential
Has a deep understanding of the issues and complexity of school improvement
Has successful experience of managing change which empowers the school community
Has the ability to command the respect and confidence of pupils, staff, parents and the wider community.
This is an exciting and unique time to take on the Deputy Headteacher role. The school is on an improvement journey, significantly oversubscribed, financially sound and is ready for its next stage of development.

We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher who will take us on the next stage of our journey. High expectations and aspirations are what we are about. Our Deputy Headteacher will understand the needs of the community and will provide highly visible leadership underpinned by an unrelenting moral purpose.
