Job Summary:
Currently rated as Good by Ofsted (September 2018), we are a two site school with both single and large, mixed year groups. Situated in the market town of Northallerton, we are a warm, happy place where children are engaging, friendly and proud of their school.

Always open to creating new partnerships and ambitious to develop, we have plans to become a Forest School and, in September, will open hubs for Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Initial Teacher Training (ITT). We have a high percentage of Pupil Premium children and have a good reputation for supporting those with a range of Special Educational and Social and Emotional needs.

Working closely with the Headteacher, your main function will be to provide leadership. This will include improving teaching and learning standards, supporting performance management, promoting high expectations and engaging with parents and carers. Teaching two days per week, you will also, support pupil’s wellbeing, mentor students and NQTs and lead either a core subject or whole school improvement focus.

We have a highly committed, experienced, and loyal staff, strong relationships with parents and carers, and a supportive LA and governing body.

We feel this is an excellent opportunity where you will benefit from ongoing CPD.

If you share our ambition and can bring a diversity of experience and opinions aligned with our school values, we would very much encourage you to apply.

If you would like to arrange a visit our school (outside of normal hours) or would like an informal, confidential conversation about the role, please contact Steve Cooper from NYCC Resourcing Solutions, on 07976 653898.
