Blue Coat Primary School are looking for a candidate to fulfill the role
of Deputy Headteacher.
The successful candidate will be uncompromising in their commitment to building a strong and motivated staff team with a clear common goal; to ensure that children at Blue Coat Primary School are “future ready”. They must have the ability to support the Headteacher and leadership team through ensuring high standards in the curriculum, in pedagogy across the school, in behaviour and attitudes as well as through supporting the children’s personal development as well as staff wellbeing.
The school can offer a talented and committed staff team to work alongside, a positive ethos that pervades the school, two day’s non-contact time, a supportive Governing Body and an exceptional group of children.

Blue Coat School, founded in 1693, is a popular and successful Voluntary Aided school situated in the town of Wotton-under-Edge. Situated 10 minutes from the M5 and only a short drive from Stroud, Tetbury and Thornbury, our school is within the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The school site is now 22 years old and is surrounded by the views the area is renowned for.
Our admissions number is 45 and we currently have 310 children on roll organised into ten classes comprising of:-
• 1 x Reception unit
• 3 x Mixed Year 1 & 2 classes
• 3 x Mixed Year 3 & 4 classes
• 1 x Year 5, 2 x Mixed Year 5 & 6
