Deputy Headteacher job summary

To support and assist the Headteacher in all matters relating to the School.
• Be responsible to the Headteacher for the provision of an outstanding student inclusion support, deciding inclusion strategy and overseeing all inclusion staff within their roles.
• Act as the School’s Designated Safeguarding lead and be accountable for the School’s Child Protection procedures
• Be responsible for the monitoring and dissemination of information about safeguarding, liaising with external agencies as appropriate.
• Oversee the work of the SENDCo and department to ensure SEND support links with school pastoral support plans
• Direct and manage the pastoral structure of the School so all students are supported and celebrated
• Act as a mentor and role model for colleagues
• Monitor and evaluate the standards of tutorial sessions taught, and the quality of assemblies across the school.
