We are looking for the right person for our team and school. The postholder will work with our leadership team to drive forward continuous school improvement, This role will cover a mix of operational and strategic responsibilities and will Deputise for the Headteacher in her absence.
The successful candidate will be innovative, creative and enthusiastic with a determination for all to achieve the highest outcomes. They will have an incisive understanding of teaching and learning and curriculum and the ability to reflect, challenge, and grow others.
The core strategic responsibilities include;
Curriculum development
Quality Assurance and Self Evaluation
Line management of Maths and English Team Leaders
Overview of implementation of Curriculum with Assistant Headteachers for Teaching and Learning (1.6FTE)
Professional development opportunities are plentiful, and we are working hard to be innovative around workload- we want you to have a balanced life and enjoy working with our children! We have really strong supportive policies on feedback, reporting, home learning, and behaviour for learning and are evidence informed in our approaches. Our teaching and learning work is focused on Rosenshine, TLAC 2.0 and Walkthrus. We are committed to developing Instructional Coaching models inspired by our work on the Ambition Institute ECF pilot this year. We are also keen to embed Alex Bedford’s Pupil Book Study in our school as a strategic priority and a central core of our curriculum evaluation.
This position is as a result of the promotion of our previous two Deputy Heads to Headship in the past 18 months.
