Deputy Headteacher job summary
Castleside Primary School are seeking to appoint an innovative and committed school leader to support the Headteacher and staff in taking Castleside Primary School to the next level. There are exciting times ahead with the further development of our new nursery provision, outdoor space, curriculum and teaching and learning, as well as opportunities for staff to collaborate across the Trust. The Deputy Headteacher will play a leading role in these developments, which will benefit the community for years to come.
The successful candidate will have a clear, focused vision which aligns with that of the Headteacher to take the school forward. You will be a creative and dynamic professional with a real passion for teaching and learning and have the ability to build positive and successful relationships with children, staff and families based on respect, trust and integrity.

- are approachable and able to quickly build strong and trusting relationships with our children, staff, parents and carers.
- have the energy and inspiration to drive and develop the school forward, but also the sensitivity to preserve its special character.
- have excellent standards of teaching and classroom practice

- have the ability to contribute to the development of a clear strategy and vision for raising pupil achievement and the continuous development of the school
- can demonstrate proven leadership skills that motivate and inspire staff to achieve the highest standards

Please note that we operate a probationary period of 6 months across all jobs in the Trust (see attached policy for further details). You will receive a comprehensive induction to support you to successfully pass your probation
