Deputy Headteacher job summary

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational colleague with vision, drive and a proven track record of successful teaching and learning to be the Deputy Headteacher leading the school’s curriculum intent, implementation and impact.

The successful postholder will be expected to:
• Provide outstanding leadership.
• Ensure that an appropriate curriculum is planned and delivered to each student, to allow them to achieve their full potential.
• Ensure that all students have the opportunity to reach the highest possible standards.
• Provide leadership in the use and analysis of all assessment data.
• Work with the Governing Body and other stakeholders to ensure the school’s vision is clearly articulated, shared, understood and translated into real and effective action by all.
We are seeking a colleague who:
• Is up-to-date with current developments in education and will ensure the curriculum is at the heart of learning.
• Has a proven track record of improving outcomes at a key stage or department level through the careful design and implementation of an ambitious curriculum.
• Has improved the practice of middle leaders to secure positive outcomes.
• Is committed, ambitious and collegiate.
• Is dedicated to enhancing the lives of all groups of students and developing staff.
• Has the skills to become a headteacher.
