Deputy Headteacher job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, visionary Deputy Headteacher to join our supportive senior leadership and wider school team.
Our current deputy is leaving to take up a headship in the midlands; the second deputy at Cuffley to be promoted into headship. And now we are looking for a new deputy to take up the challenge of supporting Cuffley on the next stage of its development.
We are looking for someone who is positive, child-focussed and also eager to develop staff, a flexible problem-solver, has a ‘can-do’ attitude and is excited about leading a school as part of an outward-looking, innovative senior leadership team.

An excellent understanding of how to keep children safe

Experience of curriculum innovation, development and meaningful assessment

Cuffley School is a foundation, two-form entry primary and nursery school with approximately 450 pupils on roll. We have a warm and friendly ethos, where every child really does matter.
Learning to learn is at the heart of what we do as we prepare our children to become independent lifelong learners. Our children are eager to come to school and enjoy a wide range of opportunities.
The extensive site includes fifteen classrooms, well stocked school libraries and resource areas, two large halls, two dining areas, a nurture base (The Oasis) and two music pods. Excellent playing fields and playgrounds are adjacent to the school buildings. Computing is well resourced, with a range of desktops, a large number of laptops and iPads, as well as Chromebooks and a range of technology to support learning.
