We are seeking an inspirational and dedicated Deputy Headteacher with a strong focus on curriculum and PedTech development to join our Senior Leadership Team at Knockhall Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who can lead on curriculum design, implementation, and innovation across all key stages, ensuring our pupils receive a high-quality, future-ready education.
As Deputy Headteacher for Curriculum, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in the design and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum, enhanced by cutting-edge educational technologies. You will ensure that technology is effectively integrated to enrich teaching and learning strategies, personalise learning, and equip pupils with the digital skills they need. Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will drive a consistent and coherent approach to curriculum delivery, blending traditional and digital methods.
As Deputy Headteacher for Curriculum, you will lead the strategic development of teaching and learning across the school, with particular emphasis on English, Maths, and digital fluency. You will collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the curriculum is innovative, engaging, and inclusive, meeting the diverse needs of all learners. By providing professional development, coaching, and mentoring to staff, you will support the integration of digital tools and drive improvements in teaching quality and pupil outcomes.
In addition to leading curriculum initiatives, you will oversee assessment and reporting systems, using data to monitor progress and inform school improvement. You will also deputise for the Headteacher when needed and act as a key leader in safeguarding, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide professional leadership and management of the curriculum, ensuring a broad, balanced and digitally enriched offer that meets the needs of all pupils.
- Lead the strategic development of English and Maths provision within the school, ensuring that digital tools are effectively integrated to enhance learning and pupil engagement.
- Inspire, mentor, and develop staff to enhance their teaching practices, particularly in curriculum development and the use of pedagogical technology.
- Design and implement initiatives that promote continuous improvement in teaching and learning, leveraging technology to personalise learning and raise standards.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to monitor and assess pupil progress, setting high expectations for attainment and achievement.
- Lead on staff development through the planning, implementation, and delivery of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
- Act as a role model for professional practice, promoting a positive and collaborative school culture that embraces digital innovation.
- Deputise for the Headteacher when required and support in the day-to-day management of the school.
