Deputy Headteacher job summary
The Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle and Directors of Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust invite applications for the post of Deputy Headteacher.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic senior leader, with a proven track record as an outstanding practitioner and extensive knowledge of the current educational agenda.
You will join the newly appointed Headteacher who commences September 2021 to progress English Martyrs in the next part of its journey.
The role of Deputy Headteacher will be formed around the candidate’s strengths to result in a strong leadership team as we progress in our journey to ‘Good’ and beyond.
English Martyrs promotes high standards in terms of teaching and learning, behaviour and achievement. We educate our children in the spirit of the Gospel values and the traditions of the Catholic Church, nurturing the talents, virtues and potential of each individual – both pupils and staff.

• has an excellent ability to think strategically and experience of contributing to school improvement
• has the ability and ambition to continue to raise standards in the Academy and across the Trust;
