Exciting opportunity for a dynamic and inspirational Deputy Head Teacher for
Gainsborough Primary school
Gainsborough Primary School is seeking to appoint an ambitious, innovative and enthusiastic Deputy Head Teacher who can inspire and motivate children and staff alike to work alongside the headteacher and senior leadership team.
The successful candidate will have a key part to play in supporting pedagogy and the curriculum, and will work exceptionally well with all members of our school community. This role is an exciting opportunity for a creative, enthusiastic and determined candidate who would relish the chance of working with a strong leadership team and incredible pupils.
To be successful, you will:
• Have an understanding of the many ways in which children develop and be able to inspire, motivate and
encourage people across the school community to learn
• Be an outstanding primary practitioner with high expectations
• Have a passion for improving learning and teaching in a way that benefits all children and staff
• Have some senior leadership experience coupled with excellent leadership, interpersonal and organisational
skills with the ability to lead and inspire the whole school community
• Have an excellent understanding of the use of assessment data to innovatively impact outcomes
for children
• Have a commitment to inclusive practice, giving all children equal access and opportunities in all areas of
the curriculum
• Have a well developed and analytical approach to solution focussed thinking
• Value collaboration and work within the school and Trust’s values

Gainsborough Primary School is a two form, inner city, inclusive school. We believe in our Gainsborough Family - building success together. We are very proud of the outcomes for learners at the end of all the Key Stages, where we are consistently at and above National levels. We are committed to continuing to providing excellent education and learning opportunities for all our children.
Currently there are just under 300 pupils on roll, with 40 part time and 8 full time places in nursery. The school is located in a developing area of East London, there are exciting opportunities being created within the local areas. With our close proximity to West Ham Station we are easily accessible and provide school places for many families who are working in Docklands and Canary Wharf.
