You will:
- be a strong, experienced leader;
- understand children and know how to encourage a love of learning;
- have an uncompromising commitment to high expectations for all pupils, so that they can all achieve their full potential;
- understand the challenges and joys of leading an urban, inclusive, multicultural school;
- support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the school
- lead and drive high standards of teaching and learning across the curriculum
- monitor and evaluate pupil progress to ensure excellent outcomes for all groups
- contribute to school self-evaluation and improvement planning
- lead on key areas of responsibility (to be agreed based on experience, e.g. curriculum, assessment, SEND, safeguarding, behaviour, or staff development)
- promote a culture of safeguarding, inclusion, and wellbeing
- inspire, motivate and develop staff through coaching and professional development
- deputise for the Headteacher when required

An exciting opportunity for an inspirational Deputy Headteacher post has arisen at Heaton Park Primary and Nursery School. We are looking for an enthusiastic, aspirational, motivated and dedicated individual to join our caring, committed team of professionals. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher to provide strategic leadership and operational management across the school, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour and achievement.
