Deputy Headteacher - Inclusion Lead job summary
Are you galvanized by the challenge of supporting vulnerable children and their families?
If so, then we are looking to appoint a full-time Deputy Headteacher - Inclusion Lead on a permanent contract.
The successful candidate will need to believe that a knowledge-rich curriculum has the power to transform the lives of all children - regardless of background, ethnicity, gender or disability. They would also need to relish the opportunity to lead and inspire an incredibly hard-working team and be fiercely committed to their own professional development and that of their colleagues.
The DHT - Inclusion Lead will work closely with the Headteacher and the rest of the Senior Leadership Team to design and deliver the strategic support for all of our vulnerable children and their families (including disadvantaged pupils and those pupils with SEND).
As the school’s SENCO, the role will involve leading the Inclusion Team, which is made up of 2 INCOs, a TA Manager, 2 ELSAs, and over 30 Teaching Assistants. In addition, we will shortly be recruiting a part-time Family Worker. The post holder will be responsible for liaising with parents, carers and professional partners, as appropriate.
At Cottenham Primary School we are committed to providing the best possible education, so that all children thrive and achieve. We believe that our children, families, staff and governors are of equal value and we respect and appreciate the diversity they bring to our school community. We welcome our duties under the Equality Act 2010 to eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations.
In addition, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
