What skills and experience we're looking for

The governors of King Edward VI School Lichfield are seeking to appoint an inspirational and highly motivated Deputy Headteacher, with excellent leadership and management skills to support the Headteacher in leading and developing our school.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with vision and outstanding leadership skills who is keen to work in a large, high-performing comprehensive school. The successful candidate will join an established leadership team: as one of two Deputy Headteachers; one of the current Deputy Headteachers is taking up the role of Headteacher.

The specific role of the successful applicant will be developed around their skills, experience and priorities for the school alongside the skills of the other members of the Senior Leadership Team.

Applicants should have successful, relevant experience at a senior level and have the drive to ensure that all our students and staff challenge themselves to reach their full potential. We value everyone in our school community and believe strongly in collaboration. As Deputy Headteacher, you have access to excellent personal professional development and the opportunity to develop your skills towards Headship in the future.

Visits to the school before application are welcome by appointment. Please read the application pack for further details.
