Deputy Headteacher job summary

Deputy Headteacher required for a Junior school in the heart of London's vibrant East End.
We are seeking a lively, positive, outstanding professional to assist the headteacher in leading the school. This is a non-class based post but does involve 0.25% allocated teaching time to support groups and individual children.

We are a small, 2 form entry junior school in the heart of the East End of London with a large Victorian building. The school has a music room, D&T room, 2 large halls, play structures, outdoor musical instruments, a large playground with gardens and a larger than average astro-turfed football pitch. We are well staffed and well resourced. Our staff are hard-working, friendly and professional.

We are surrounded by great history, local venues and amenities which are used by the school pupils to enhance the curriculum and for recreation for the staff.

We are close to York Hall swimming pool, Victoria Park, Brick Lane, The Victoria and Albert Museum of Childhood, Weaver's Fields, Broadway Market and London Fields. We are also only a short distance away from the fantastic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
