Thomas Bewick Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Headteacher to join a dedicated and dynamic team. If you are passionate about making a lasting impact on children’s education and leading with compassion and creativity, we would love to hear from you!
Under the leadership of the Headteacher and in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards and supporting the growth of every pupil within the school. You will have a teaching commitment and be responsible for all key stages.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Headteacher and leadership team to create and implement the school’s strategic vision.
Engage with parents and the wider school community, building strong partnerships to support pupil success
Inspire and lead a team of committed staff to deliver exceptional learning experiences.
Work closely with staff, pupils, and parents to maintain a positive and engaging school culture
Lead by example, maintaining and strengthening the ethos of our school community.
Support the personal and academic growth of every student, ensuring their well-being and success.

Thomas Bewick C of E Primary School is a one-form entry school of over 200 pupils with additional provision for the care of two-year-old children situated on Moorhouse Lane in the Hirst area of Ashington.

We encourage our learners to have a love of reading; whether it be stories, poetry or non-fiction. Storytime is sacrosanct and we feel it is imperative that the children hear a range of texts which are linked to their Enquiry for the half term.
