Parklands Nursery School is one of nine maintained nursery schools operating within Northamptonshire.  In February 2021 Parkland Nursery School joined Croyland Nursery School and Highfield Nursery School and became part of the Foundations for Children Nursery Schools Federation.  The federation has one governing body and an Executive Headteacher.  All three schools have a long history of providing early years education to the families of Northampton and Wellingborough.  We are proud to be a part of this wider team, as we strive to provide the best quality education and care that we can to our local communities.

At Parklands Nursery School we feel it is important for the children to feel relaxed and “at home” in the nursery environment. It is when the children feel comfortable, relaxed and confident with sense of high self-esteem, they are open to new ideas and experiences, are able to concentrate and to learn.

We work in partnership with parents in promoting children’s learning and we know that parents play an important role and are their child’s first educators.

Parklands Nursery School is based in Spinney Hill Road, it has spacious indoor areas with a fantastic outside space for exploration, climbing, running and riding our bikes.  It is important for us for the children to feel happy and relaxed in our environment, so that they will develop their confidence, their social skills and their ability to play with others. We help the children to become independent and capable.

We observe the children continuously and our observations guide us in our planning for each week. This enables us to help each individual child to reach their full potential in all areas of their development and learning.
