What skills and experience we're looking for

To commence in January 2024, we are seeking to recruit a dynamic Deputy Headteacher to join an experienced Senior Leadership Team who are keen to achieve its’ ambitious strategic vision for its pupils.

As QoE lead, you will oversee curriculum developments, teaching, learning and assessment, to help Whitcliffe Mount School students achieve the highest standards possible. We believe in developing colleagues through excellent support and training, evidence-led approaches and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Understand the QoE portfolio and be an innovative leader with drive and ideas as to how we continue to achieve in this fundamental area of intent, implementation and impact;
  • Have experience and knowledge around how a curriculum is planned and assessed;
  • be an outstanding teacher who has a clear understanding of how young people learn;
  • be passionate about teaching and learning able to work with colleagues to help them develop their practice;
  • have high quality teaching, pupil learning and wellbeing at the heart of everything they do;
  • have highly developed interpersonal and organisation skills.
