Saltdean is a popular, happy and caring school. We are situated near the centre of Saltdean village, within easy commuting distance of Brighton and Hove. We are proud to be based in the heart of our local community and our families are very supportive of our work. The school is currently three forms of entry but will be reducing to two over the coming years.
The school was inspected in April 2024 and was judged to be a good school in all areas, with the definite prospect of some outstanding elements in future inspections. The report highlighted many strengths. It says that “The school has created an atmosphere where pupils and adults feel valued and nurtured.” The inspectors also commented that “Behaviour is very good… relationships between adults and pupils are warm and respectful”. The also noted that “the school has put together an inspiring curriculum, that enthuses pupils to want to learn more.”
