What skills and experience we're looking for
We are currently looking for an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to join our leadership team at Somers Heath Primary School.
We are part of Catalyst Academies Trust, a small, local trust but the highest performing in the country.
The school is also an active part of the Thurrock Primary Teaching School Alliance and the Teach Thurrock Initial Teacher Training Primary Partnership.
We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious individual to develop as a senior leader and take the next step towards headship. Along with other members of the senior leadership team, the Deputy Headteacher will be centrally involved in the management of the school and will be responsible for raising standards, instilling high expectations for all and helping to establish a culture that is nurturing and rigorous. They will also play an important part in the trust team, working with Headteachers and Deputies from the other 4 schools to moderate, review and improve teaching and learning across The Trust.

The ideal candidate will also:
- Have a proven experience of positively impacting on student progress, raising attainment and developing excellence
- Be fully committed to Somers Heath Primary School's ethos of high expectations
- Have the drive to make a real difference to the lives of pupils
- Be the Strategic Lead for assessment and pupil progress
- Have experience in leading staff professional development in order to improve an aspect of teaching and learning
