Further details about the role

We are seeking to appoint an experienced leader who will share our values and ambition for the school. A leader who will support our Headteacher’s vision to build on our strengths and continue to drive our wonderful school forward.

At St Bernard’s Primary School, our mission statement is ‘A unique family in faith, love and learning.’ This upholds the Catholic values within the daily lives of our pupils, staff and community. We are very much a family and we welcome and celebrate our differences. We strive to ensure that all our children are confident, kind, thoughtful and selfless.

You can see that this mission and vision come to life when walking through our school and in our classrooms. We live out these values in everything we do in school to allow children to enjoy the fullness of life and enable them to flourish in the world in which they live both during their time at St.Bernard’s and beyond.

We believe in the unique potential of each child. The school’s primary objective is to create a nurturing environment that is uncompromising in ensuring that pupils benefit from the care and support needed to thrive. In addition, our staff are unwavering in their commitment to provide the highest quality education, delivered through a broad and ambitious curriculum that is designed to give all our pupils, particularly those that are disadvantaged and pupils with SEND, the knowledge, faith and cultural capital they need to succeed in life.

Our community is characterised by its faith, diversity and inclusivity, and all members of the St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Primary School team work hard to promote a sense of belonging and mutual respect.

We are a growing Primary School that belongs to Christ the Redeemer parish, our parish church is St.Ethelbert’s, Deane and we are part of the Salford Diocese.

Our Catholic values are deeply rooted in the school, and we take immense pride in fostering an environment that embodies these principles.
