What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an outstanding practitioner, who is also a determined and ambitious leader with the ability to share, model and demonstrate the key characteristics
of highly effective learning and teaching to continue to embed and further
improve high standards for all children in our school.
As Deputy Headteacher, you will be expected to lead positively by example, and professionally inspire and develop children and adults to live out our vision. Successful candidates must have previous proven experience of successful senior leadership and be able to provide challenge, rigour and strategic direction.
We are looking for a leader who:
- Will strive to make a positive difference to the lives of all of our pupils,
- Is committed to promoting the school’s Christian vision, mission and distinctiveness of our school
- Is passionate about providing challenging and meaningful learning experiences, with a proven track record of raising attainment and making a positive impact on children of all ages.
- Has the skills and knowledge to monitor, evaluate, report on and influence whole school improvement, but particularly standards of attainment and learning and teaching.
- Has experience of teaching and leading teams of staff effectively
- Has clear and demonstrable experience of developing their own and others’ pedagogy and practice
- Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues, promoting high aspirations for all through a range of leadership styles
- Has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish positive working relationships with colleagues, children and the wider community, through modelling high levels of professionalism, commitment and integrity.
- Understands the role of a Church of England School in its community and knows how to live out the Gospel values in their daily life.
- Has the energy, compassion and perseverance to lead whole school projects
- Is committed to the safeguarding, welfare and wellbeing of children and staff.
