Deputy Headteacher job summary

St Ursula’s E-ACT Academy is seeking to appoint an outward looking, visionary staff member to the exciting role of Deputy Headteacher from September 2020.

Salary: Leadership Main Scale
Location: St Ursula’s E-ACT Academy
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Start Date: 1st September 2020

Following the promotion of our current Deputy Headteacher, a vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and inspiring person to join our school and help us raise standards in teaching and learning.

We are looking for a highly motivated and forward-thinking person who can build on and develop the schools many strengths. You should have a clear vision for the role, and have an active interest in all aspects of school improvement, along with the ability to demonstrate exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills. You should also have a track record of leading and managing teams to make a real difference to outcomes for pupils, and the ability to build great working relationships with staff, pupils and parents is a must.

You will have:
-Shown the ability to raise standards and the quality of teaching of the key skills in English and Maths through effective leadership and management.
-Demonstrated leadership through excellent interpersonal skills and ability to inspire, challenge and motivate colleagues and children.
-Demonstrated the ability to have an awareness of highly motivating curriculum.
-Evidence of being an outstanding teacher able to lead and inspire outstanding teaching & learning across the school.
-A proven record of mentoring and coaching staff.
