Due to the current post holder securing their first Headship post we are seeking the right candidate to join our Senior Leadership Team, taking a lead role in the strategic development of the school.

The successful applicant will be an experienced leader, a well-qualified graduate with the ability to ensure that all students are able to fulfil their potential and benefit from a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment throughout their time at school.

The role includes line management responsibility for Assistant Headteachers who lead on areas such Inclusion & Safeguarding, Culture & Ethos, Intervention & Progress and SEND provision (including line management of the SENDCo, who is also part of the Senior Team).

The Joseph Whitaker School is a popular 11-18 school, in Rainworth, a village just outside of Mansfield. It serves the three local villages of Blidworth, Rainworth and Ravenshead and has around 1300 students.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a well-qualified Key Stage 5 Teacher of Criminology, ideally with experience of teaching Psychology and/or Sociology A-level.

We have extremely high expectations of our students and staff and offer excellent training and professional development opportunities. This position would be ideal for either someone looking to broaden their experience of Key Stage 5 teaching.
