We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an inspirational Deputy Headteacher to join our dedicated team at Newton Primary School from September 2025. As a thriving two-form entry school catering for children aged 4–11, we are committed to providing an enriching and high-quality education in a welcoming and supportive environment. The successful candidate will work alongside the head and staff to drive school improvement, ensuring the highest standards of wellbeing and teaching and learning for our children.
Newton Primary School is a Cheshire West and Chester Local Authority maintained School. We are proud of our strong sense of community, family ethos and putting children at the centre of everything we do. Nestled in beautiful grounds featuring a forest area, a trim trail and nature area, we provide children with rich opportunities across all areas of the curriculum. We have a friendly and experienced team of educators who work as a team to get the very best for our children.
The new Headteacher, in collaboration with the Board of Governors, are seeking a strategic, enthusiastic and innovative leader to take on this role, playing a pivotal part in shaping the future of our school. The ideal candidate will possess the vision and drive to build upon our existing positive ethos, leveraging our strengths to support our development priorities.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- A proven track record of effective leadership within an educational setting.
- A robust understanding and experience of raising educational standards and school improvement.
- A track record of being a passionate class teacher with successful experience of teaching within the primary school age range
- The ability to engage, inspire, and motivate pupils, staff, and the wider school community.
- A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to foster a supportive, empowering environment for all.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build and maintain positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and the wider community.
- A creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to implement forward-thinking educational practices.
