We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Deputy Head Teacher to join our happy, successful school. We are looking for an exceptional practitioner with successful experience of improving teaching that impacts on the learning and progress of all children, irrespective of their starting points. Following the departure of our very experienced deputy we have decided to recruit for a deputy headteacher without a class responsibility to ensure strong and effective leadership of teaching and high quality provision for our children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The Deputy will be expected to take a lead role in modelling outstanding teaching and learning, working with external agencies to ensure the needs of our most vulnerable children are met so that they make good progress in their learning. Our deputy will include the following roles:
-SENCO
-Lead of teaching and learning
-Lead of a core subject
-Assessment
-Curriculum
We are looking for a leader who can implement a rigorous system of monitoring and evaluation to secure consistent practice across the school and improve the outcomes for all our children. This will include regularly capturing pupil voice, providing support/feedback to staff and reporting on impact.
The person we are looking for will:
-Be an exceptional teacher
-Be able to demonstrate their impact on outcomes for children
-Provide support and challenge through coaching and mentoring
-Have experience of working with pupils with SEN
-Have excellent skills in developing relationships
-Be an innovative and strategic thinker
-Ability to have difficult conversations with staff
-Have the ability to inspire, challenge and motivate
-Be confident working with and presenting data
