Deputy Nursery Manager job summary

Would you like to work for a successful multi academy trust in Hertfordshire?

Do you have a Level 3 Early Years qualification and are looking for a new opportunity?

If so, Bushey St James Trust (BSJT) has a fantastic opportunity for a suitably experienced individual to join our growing multi academy Trust. The successful person will share responsibility with the existing Nursery Manager for the management and development of our ‘Little Gems Nursery’. The pre-school nursery is an exciting initiative offering subsidised childcare to members of staff employed across BSJT for babies and children aged 6 months to 3 years.

The successful person will have a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification and be keen to develop and grow the new nursery. The Little Gems Nursery is located on the premises of Little Reddings Primary School which already has an established and well-led school nursery. We are looking for someone who has: excellent childcare skills and holds the relevant childcare qualifications, proven staff development and team management skills, great organisational ability, ambitions to provide the very best experience for our children and families and an interest in the latest Early Years trends and initiatives.

The Little Gems Nursery is open from 7.45am to 5.45pm weekdays during term-time so some flexibility will be required with working patterns/hours. The role is for 37 hours per week and the salary is APT&C points 8 – 13 + fringe (currently £25,992 pa to £28,163 pa + £1013 pa), paid pro-rata based on hours worked. Salary point offered will depend on skills and experience.

Bushey St James Trust is a great place to work and is made up of Bushey Meads School, Little Reddings Primary School and Hartsbourne Primary School. All of our schools have strong links with other local schools and good practice and ideas are shared across the Trust. Transport links are good with the M1, M25, A1 and A41 being close by and local bus routes are only a short walk.

Full details of the vacancy can be found on our website www.busheymeads.org.uk along with further information about the school and the Trust. Alternatively, please contact the HR team on 020 8955 8800 or Little Reddings Primary School on 020 9850 5388 if you would like to arrange a visit.

If you would like to apply for this exciting opportunity, please send in a completed application form along with a covering letter, addressed to Mrs Rebecca Tregear, Headteacher at Little Reddings Primary School. Your completed application form and letter should be returned to the school by post or by email to: admin@littlereddings.org.uk by the deadline.
