The Board of Trustees wish to provide an opportunity for an enthusiastic Deputy Principal. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to become part of our school team. The post holder will be based at Alvaston Junior Academy.

The Harmony Trust was established in February 2014 and currently has 15 schools under the Trust umbrella. This brings with it exciting opportunities for career progression and development for existing and future employees. The Harmony Trust has high expectations of our pupils and staff. The successful candidates will:

• Experience in a Senior Leadership role
• Experience of leading a journey of improvement in a primary setting.
• Ideally, experience of English leadership in a primary setting.
• Experience of implementing and overseeing successful school / academy improvement initiatives.
• Experience of different leadership styles and practices and their effects in a variety of contexts within school.
• Experience of the strategies for improving the quality of learning and teaching including promoting excellence and challenging poor performance.
• The ability to think creatively to anticipate and solve problems and demonstrate balanced and fair judgement.
• The ability to establish and sustain effective organisational structures, systems, policy and practice including safeguarding.
